Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Dungeons Guide

Training Dungeons

The Training Dungeons are 3 dungeons which provide different sets of rewards useful for growing your character. Clearing levels in a dungeon will unlock more difficult versions, and provide you with better rewards as a result. However, you can also skip doing the dungeon directly and simply collect the reward for the highest level you have cleared.

This makes them very fast dailies if you don’t want to do the challenge all the time, although you will try them on occasion as you get stronger, in order to unlock higher levels and better rewards.

Familiars’ Cradle

The Familiars’ Cradle challenge provides materials to hatch, grow, and evolve your familiars. It can be challenged once daily for free, and can be refreshed up to 3 times daily by spending diamonds. The challenge involves protecting 3 familiar eggs from multiple waves of monsters (members of the Boar Tribe) for 3 minutes. They are all wood element, so fire element is recommended.

There are several different types of enemies: fighters who come up and slash at the eggs, archers to stand back and fire arrows, and large, strong boars who move slowly but swing hard and have a lot of HP. The more eggs you successfully protect, the more stars you earn, for a maximum of 3. Clearing a level at 3 stars will unlock the next level.

Weekly reward rotation

The element of the reward cycles weekly. Monday through Friday, a specific element of evolution fruit will be given. On Saturday and Sunday, you will get a basket that lets you choose which element of evolution fruit you want.

Fire Temple

The Fire Temple challenge provides materials to forge, level up, and grade up your equipment. It can be challenged once daily for free, and can be refreshed up to 3 times daily by spending diamonds.

The challenge involves escaping the Fire Temple, as was done in chapter 2 of main story. You will need to dodge falling rocks and defeat 2 Aldorl fragments along the way in order to clear a path to the exit.

The faster you can clear the trial, the more stars you earn. Clearing a level at 3 stars will unlock the next level.

Weekly reward rotation

The type of grade-up material and equipment polishing bags will rotate throughout the week. On Mondays and Thursdays, you will get weapon materials (rainbow, so works for all elements.) On Tuesdays and Fridays, you will get armor materials. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, you will get accessory materials. On Sunday, you will get a box that lets you choose which materials you want.

Goldbeard’s Pirate Ship

Goldbeard’s Pirate Ship provides gold and chests which can roll coins or higgledie statues (which can be sold for more gold). The chests can also contain equipment gemstones or treasure chest keys. It can only be challenged once per day.

You will have a limited time to fight Goldbeard and his pirates (all water element) on his ship. Goldbeard has several telegraphed attacks that you will want to avoid so that you can keep doing damage.

Each time you depete his health bar, he will regenerate it and become stronger. You will also gain some extra time in the dungeon. The more phases of the boss you can defeat, the higher your rewards.

Illusion Labryinth

The Illusion Labyrinth is a series of challenge dungeons, where you must defeat a set of enemies within the given time limit. Each stage is progressively harder, but provides progressively better rewards. You must clear each stage to access the next one. It can be accessed from the main menu under the Challenges sub menu.

Floors

Each floor of the Illusion Labyrinth has 10 stages, which must be cleared in order. Stages 1-4 and 6-9 are normal stages, where you must defeat several waves of monsters, for a total of 24 monsters. Stage 5 is a Chaos Gate stage. You need to destroy all 3 Chaos Gates to clear the stage. It is useful to also defeat the monsters they spawn, but not required. Stage 10 is a Boss stage. You must defeat the boss to clear the stage. Many of them are recycled from main story quest.

Floor element

All stages in a floor share the same element, so you will want to use a build of the element strong against it. The game will remind you what element to use in the right hand info box, underneath the listing for your combat power and the recommended combat power.

There are currently a total of 15 floors of Illusion Labryinth, although more are planned to be added in future updates.

Stage missions

Each stage has a primary mission (clear the stage within the time limit) and 3 sub-missions. These can be seen in the left infobox on the screen. Each sub mission you clear will earn you a star (max 3). Rewards for clearing a stage’s primary and sub missions can only be earned once per account.

Sub missions vary by floor and can be things like “defeat X enemies in Y time”, “use less than X potions during the fight,” “use familiar skills X times”, etc. The trickiest one is usually “clear the stage using only normal attacks” as both skills and familiar skills will invalidate this mission. Turning on semi-auto battle is the easiest way to achieve this as the game will only use normal attacks when this is on.

Sub missions do not have to be cleared on the same run. You can rechallenge a floor as many times as you need to to clear out sub missions. This is especially useful when sub missions include both “use only normal attacks” and “clear within X seconds”, which are very hard to do at the same time unless you are overpowered for that stage. Simply clear the stage twice, focusing on one sub mission at a time.

Floor rewards

Earning stars for stage sub missions also go towards earning floor rewards. You can get additional rewards at 10, 20, and 30 (max) stars per floor.

Weekly Rewards

Every week, you can earn rewards such as tetroblock pieces for having cleared floors in the Illusion Labryinth. The more floors you have cleared, the better the reward. You do not need to have challenged any floors recently to get this; it’s a perpetually renewing reward based on your highest clear.
